A transformative new initiative is set to reshape access to digital and work-focused training across the South East. The Innovation South Virtual Campus, a collaborative project between leading regional colleges, universities, and the former Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), officially launches this month.
Developed with support from the Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF), the Virtual Campus offers over 32 free online courses designed to help employers train and upskill their staff in critical areas such as cyber security, digital literacy, and other in-demand workplace skills.
The project brings together a powerful partnership of institutions, including Sparsholt College, Basingstoke College of Technology, and Royal Holloway, University of London, working alongside East Surrey College and Chichester University. The platform aims to support businesses across sectors by providing flexible, accessible learning opportunities that respond directly to local workforce needs.
“This is a game-changer for upskilling our workforce and supporting economic growth,” said a spokesperson for the partnership. “By removing barriers to training, we’re helping businesses stay competitive and resilient in a rapidly evolving digital economy.”
