They are innovative training programmes co-designed with employers to address local skills shortages. These flexible courses of up to 16 weeks are tailored to meet the demands of a wide range of industries, ensuring participants gain relevant, in-demand skills. Most of the professional development training facilitated does not require previous knowledge of the subject. You simply need to be able to speak a good level of English and have a willingness to learn. Some courses may have additional entry requirements, such as needing you to have a particular qualification or experience. You can find these listed in the relevant course details. Funded by the government, these courses are available at no cost to those who are unemployed or self-employed. If you’re an employer, you can enrol your staff with a small financial contribution, making these courses an excellent investment in your team’s future and a fundamental part of your skills planning. While you may receive a qualification from your Skills Bootcamp, not all will offer you one. In the event that you get a qualification, the level will depend on the provider and the course subject.
