e-learning - CUSTOMS DECLARATION TRAINING

The Chamber of Commerce network has partnered with some of the leading industry experts to launch brand new Customs Declarations Training designed to prepare businesses and trade professionals for the future of trade.

The way we trade with the EU is about to change, introducing the need for forms and processes not previously required. Up-skilled people are the key to continued training success once the UK leaves the EU.

The Customs Declarations Training programme delivers flexible, bite-sized e-learning modules, classroom courses, and virtual classroom sessions.

Hampshire Chamber of Commerce has recognised that it isn’t always a viable option to train staff off-site and so has decided to offer companies the 5 hour e-learning package, where candidates can work at their own pace, dip in and out as time demands and complete the modules in any order.

If this is of interest to you please contact Jackie Highmore at Hampshire Chamber of Commerce on tel: 01329 820881 or via email jacqueline.highmore@hampshirechamber.co.uk

China Business Clinic - Wednesday 24th June 2020

If we still see us all remote working we will organise a virtual clinic

Have you considered China as your next export market? Looking for advice on doing business with China? Hampshire Chamber of Commerce in association with the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) and in partnership with Portsmouth City Council is hosting a 1-2-1 business clinic with an expert China advisor on Wednesday 24th June 2020.

Chris Lethbridge – China Market Business Advisor for the CBBC will be available to discuss matters ranging from the market potential for your products or services, to how to establish a presence in the market, as well as the support and services available to help you deal with the unique challenges in China and develop your business in a cost effective way.

China is the great economic success story of the past 30 years. It’s now the world’s second largest economy and a huge and expanding market for UK businesses. However China is not one single market with a range of different regional economies and economic hubs. It is important to understand the economic, cultural and regulatory differences that could impact the success of your product and impact you China strategy.

Benefits for UK businesses

There are a number of reasons why you should seriously consider China:
• largest country in the world by population with over 160 cities of more than a million inhabitants
• fast growing consumer market, resulting from increasing number of middle income consumers
• forecast to become the world’s largest luxury goods market by 2020
• strong demand for high quality products and services
This clinic is a must for companies who have already established or are looking to establish links with China.

About the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC)

The China-Britain Business Council helps British and Chinese businesses and organisations work together in China, the UK and third markets around the world. With 60 years of experience and experts across the UK and China, they work in a strategic partnership with the British Chamber of Commerce in China to deliver streamlined services to their joint members. They also work closely with cities and local enterprise partnerships to help them forge the links to drive local economic development.

Please note: the format will be individual and confidential meetings will last 30 minutes.

The clinics will be held at the Fareham office of Hampshire Chamber of Commerce (Wates House, Wallington Hill, Fareham PO16 7BJ)

Parking will be available and appointments are available from 10.00am onwards

To book your appointment please contact Jackie Highmore on tel 01329 820881 or email jacqueline.highmore@hampshirechamber.co.uk
