Chamber of Solutions – Export Academy
27th October @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
This FREE Portsmouth Chamber of Solutions event takes a close look at the many needs of businesses as we end the transition period and exit the EU at the end of December 2020. Whether an FTA is agreed with our EU partners or not there is much for all globally-trading businesses to understand and to address. The UK is leaving the EU’s Single Market and Customs Union at end of transition period. Government has announced temporary staged-easing of the implementation of changes around border controls, customs declarations and processes – however, as we approach 1st January 2021 clarity, advice and sharing insights is needed to ensure successful post-Brexit trading arrangements.
Amongst a range of solutions this event will help to update you on the known and developing picture around customs procedures and documentation, duties, VAT, rules of origin, labelling, and dispute resolutions.
It is about giving you greater awareness of the likely impacts on your business together with your supplier and customer relationships. This is especially critical for businesses in the Solent and Hampshire area because of our strengths in trading internationally and world-class ports. We want you to get ready to seize the global challenges and opportunities. If like many firms you have been so occupied with Covid-19 that Brexit planning has taken a back seat, then this is your chance to get ready.
The Chamber of Solutions supports individuals and businesses with ambition to:
• Get a clear understanding of the changing procedures
• Make a success of the post transition world
• Develop trading opportunities
The specialist Chamber of Solutions panel will provide focus on:
• People, employment, travel and immigration
• Customs procedures, documentation and duties
• Tax, VAT, finance and banking
• Data, labelling, disputes and regulation
• Logistics, advice and funding
The event will address your challenges, allowing you to share your experiences and hear from others across the Chamber of Solutions community. It is clear that no single specialist has all the answers, and so sharing with fellow businesses can provide some practical insights. Chamber of Solutions is your problem solver for your business challenges.
