CHAMBER'S AREA BOARDS AND COMMITTEES:

A powerful voice for your business

As the Independent Voice of Local Business, the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce expresses the views of its members and represents them on local, regional and national issues that could affect their business.

We are working for you formally and informally throughout all our activities by listening to all sizes and types of business, understanding your concerns and aspirations and then pushing them forward on to the agendas of local, regional and national decision makers to effect positive change. This work is enhanced by the Chamber's high profile, influence and its partnership working with those who can make positive changes.

Our members’ views are central to the Chamber's thinking on the many local, regional and national planning and government policy initiatives. We are asked for formal comment on these as a business representative organisation. The expertise and wide knowledge of specialist topics provided by the volunteer Chamber members on our committees are of great help in formulating the Chamber Viewpoint which is published monthly in our magazine.

COMMITTEE STRUCTURE:

Hampshire Chamber of Commerce operates a committee structure that spans the whole of the County:

> North Hampshire Area

> Portsmouth and South East Hampshire Area

> Southampton Area

North Hampshire area has area committees covering Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester; with a host of other groups in which Chamber and Chamber members serve.

Portsmouth and South East Hampshire area has a Policy Council and three Chamber standing committees; with a host of other groups in which Chamber and Chamber members serve.

Southampton area has a Business Board and two Chamber standing committees; with a host of other groups in which Chamber and Chamber members serve.
