Policy and Representation

A powerful voice for your business

As the Independent Voice of Local Business, Hampshire Chamber of Commerce expresses the views of its members and represents them on local, regional and national issues that could affect their business.

We are working for you formally and informally throughout all our activities by listening to all sizes and types of business, understanding your concerns and aspirations and then pushing them forward on to the agendas of local, regional and national decision makers to effect positive change. This work is enhanced by the Chamber's high profile, influence and its partnership working with those who can make positive changes.

Our members’ views are central to the Chamber's thinking on the many local, regional and national planning and government policy initiatives.  We are asked for formal comment on these as a business representative organisation.  The expertise and wide knowledge of specialist topics provided by the volunteer Chamber members on our committees are of great help in formulating the Chamber Viewpoint which is published monthly in our magazine.

If you have an interest in being more involved in our policy and lobbying work, then we want to hear from you. Our Area Boards and standing Committees are topical and geographically focused in North Hampshire, Portsmouth and Southampton areas. Details of these and how to join them can be requested from:
