Fareham’s new sustainable community – getting down to detail

08 Feb 12

A sustainable new community is being planned for the North of Fareham and was agreed by Fareham Council last year.

It will include approximately 7,000 homes together with businesses, schools, open spaces, and local services.

An Area Action Plan (AAP) is now being prepared by Fareham Council which will set out in detail what the new community will be like. Over the next few months they would like everybody to get involved in the first stage of its preparation by completing this survey which asks questions about open space and recreation uses such as sports pitches, community facilities, what you would like in a new home and what you think about environmentally friendly homes and power.

What you say will help to make the AAP better. The survey will be running until Friday 2 March (12 noon).

More information on how the Area Action Plan will be developed is given in the Council’s 'Community Engagement Plan' .
