Starting Your Own Business?

Unemployed or facing redundancy? Are keen to be self-employed or start your own business?
Live in the South East?

If so, would you like some free help?

South East England Chambers of Commerce together with the University of Surrey are offering limited places on their Silver Academy programme running from October 2010 to April 2011

The Silver Academy provides you with:

Opportunity to take stock and consider your options in starting your own business or working self-employed
Facilitation and guidance to help you choose the right option for you, set yourself up, attract clients/customers, deliver your service/products and successfully manage and grow your business to serve your lifestyle requirements

A self-help manual and toolkit to work through the programme

Seven one-day workshops held in Guildford, from October 2010 to April 2011

As part of the workshops, 30 minute one-to-one business clinics are available with volunteer business mentors from the Surrey and the Hampshire Chambers of Commerce

Membership of a peer-to-peer support network

Online and telephone support

Opportunities to participate in peer-to-peer coaching and gain leadership experience

This project is funded by the EU and the University of Surrey through the EU PEOPLE mini-programme under the Interregional Cooperation programme INTERREG IVC.
The Silver Academy is also being run at the same time in the regions of
Andalucia, Spain and Malopolska, Poland.
