Come and see us at The New Forest Expo
21 April 2016
The New Forest Business Expo organisers are encouraging visitors to register in advance to attend the 2016 Expo on Friday 3 June at Brockenhurst College. Entry is free for visitors and by pre registering, visitors will be eligible for the free business briefings, a tour of the College and entry into the Expo Prize Draw.
This is a unique event, which provides a fantastic opportunity to discover the wide and diverse range of businesses in our local region.
The second New Forest Business Expo follows last year’s successful inaugural expo which was held at Berthon Marina Lymington. It is once again being organised on a not-for-profit basis by the New Forest Business Partnership with its team of partners, to celebrate the dynamic variety and quality of New Forest based products and services, and to showcase the range and expertise of New Forest businesses from a diverse range of industry sectors.
Ultimately it’s to encourage the continued growth of business in the New Forest and help the region to develop as a brilliant place to do business!
In excess of 100 exhibitors are expected – bookings are coming in fast. These range from manufacturers to professional services, from business services to leisure.
Entry to the Expo is free for visitors, with free parking and a range of free activities on offer.
First and foremost it’s a great opportunity for visitors and exhibitors to meet and make new contacts for the future, all in one day, at a superb central Forest location. Brockenhurst College is a perfect exhibition venue and also offers excellent transport links and parking facilities. Visitors from Southampton and Bournemouth are encouraged to travel by train – the college is just a few minutes’ walk from mainline Brockenhurst rail station. With its ancient thatched cottages, picture perfect lanes and stunning scenery, Brockenhurst was recently named the most beautiful place to live in the UK.
The Expo is also a great opportunity to learn some useful business tips at a series of free “bite sized business briefings” presented by engaging industry speakers, which is being organised to take place at half hour intervals through the day (morning sessions will be repeated in the afternoon). These range from dealing with first aid emergencies in the workplace to getting paid for work done, having better business “conversations”, how to be more productive within the work place and knowing the rights of your customers. Subjects of relevance to everybody.
On arrival visitors will have the chance to benefit from a free personal welcome entitled “how to make the most of your time at the Expo” .
Also on offer to visitors will be an opportunity to take a tour of the prestigious and award winning Brockenhurst College in the company of keen, knowledgeable and practised “student ambassadors”. The guides will lead visitors on a general tour of the college focussing especially on aspects of most interest to the general public such as sports and the acclaimed New Forest Cookery School. Along the way they will impart lots of information about the heritage of the college and its notable alumni.
Quality refreshments at sensible prices will be available all day.
Places are limited for the business briefings and college tours so visitors are encouraged to register in advance; by so doing they will also be entered in the Expo prize draw.
