Chambers work together for a great cause

19 April 2016

Hampshire Chamber of Commerce are delighted that the Romsey Chamber of Commerce and Industry are affiliated to them.

This affiliation bore fruit on Sunday 17th April when Mark Baulch, Business Development Manager for Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, joined the ranks of the Romsey Chamber team at the Barratt Homes Charity Relay Marathon 2016. A team of ten each raced around Broadlands for two laps of a 1.3mile course in order to complete the marathon distance for charity. A special baton with a chip inside recorded the efforts of each team member and had to be handed over in the traditional way, adding an extra element of team work to the event. 26 teams entered the relay, which was organised by the Rotary Club of Romsey.

Mark said ‘It is great to be able to support Romsey Chamber in this practical way and to show teamwork and collaboration’. Peter Speirs, President of Romsey Chamber added ‘I am really proud of all of the team and it is great to have Hampshire Chamber here assisting us’.
