Future plans for Britain’s best connected port
With a rich maritime heritage Portsmouth has been known for its naval links and ocean going trade for centuries. This is set to continue as the port looks to play a significant role towards the vision to become the UK’s leading marine and maritime city.
Part of Portsmouth City Council the port has grown extensively over the decades and is now known as Britain’s best connected port with more destinations than any other UK port.
The port offers a wide range of ferry routes, increased cruise routes and shipping and is a key destination for fresh fruit and vegetables from all over the world with 70% of all bananas eaten in the UK arriving at Portsmouth.
Opening its new award winning terminal as a part of £16.4m investment in new passenger facilities the port offers state of the art and hassle free check in’s.
Join us in the terminal over brunch, network and hear from Mike Sellers new Port Director about future plans to develop the port.
